The Monarchs
Each year, the Krewe of Phoenix throws one fabulous ball to celebrate the reign of our current monarchs. Each ball is a spectacular example of the grandeur that is the Mardi Gras carnival season and ends with the crowning of new monarchs for the following year.
2022 - 2023
King Chase XII and King Cody XII
In 2023, the Krewe of Phoenix honored the reign of both King Chase XII and King Cody XII during our own rendition of "The Oscars"! Needless to say, it was quite the show!
2020 - 2022
Queen Helen XI and Queen Renita XI
Celebrating Queen Helen XI and Queen Renita XI during our annual ball in 2022 was an amazing experience! Coming out of a pandemic, both the krewe and our monarchs celebrated in the only way we knew how - by getting everyone together and shouting "Let's Play A Game"!

King James X and Queen Molly X
Themed "Defining Moments: Hindsight is 20/20", our annual ball was graced by King James X and Queen Molly X!"
2018 - 2019
King James IX and King Jasyn IX
During the "Global Gala" themed annual ball for the Krewe of Phoenix, our monarchs King James IX and King Jasyn IX were celebrated in style and elegance from all around the world!
2017 - 2018
Queen Nancy VIII and King Michael VIII
During the "Revelry in Rivalries" themed annual ball in 2018, our monarchs Queen Nancy VIII and King Michael VIII took to the stage and became a dynamic duo for the ages!
2016 - 2017
Queen Sheri and King Peter
In what was considered and over the top performance, our monarchs Queen Sheri and King Peter were cheered on as the festivities carried into the night during our annual ball themed "A Night Under the Big Top"!
2015 - 2016
Queen Janette and King Rick
In what could be considered "Treasures of the Phoenix", our monarchs Queen Jeanette and King Rick were celebrated by the krewe and guests during the 2016 annual ball!
2014 - 2015
Queen Virginia and King Doug
During the annual ball in 2015, Queen Virginia and King Doug took to the stage as the Krewe of Phoenix celebrated their reign with the theme of "Secret Garden"!
2013 - 2014
Queen Lori and King Carl
With a train that descended from the rafters, our King Carl joined the elegant Queen Lori for all to celebrate at our annual ball themed "Gruesome Twosome"!
2012 - 2013
King Jay and Queen Sheila
In 2013, our monarchs Queen Sheila and King Jay took to the stage and floor to be celebrated in true fairy tale fashion during our annual ball themed "Once Upon a Time"!
2011 - 2012
King Denny and Queen VeRONica
During our third annual ball themed "Shoot for the Stars", our krewe and guests were graced by our monarchs King Denny and Queen VeRONica!
2010 - 2011
King Jerry Paul and Queen Dana
At our second annual ball, our very first monarchs took to the stage of our formal affair themed "Tributes" - King Jerry Paul and Queen Dana!

At the annual ball held on February 8th, 2025, the Krewe of Phoenix celebrated the spectacular and amazing reign of King Richard XIV and Queen Laura XIV with a ball theme of "A Night on Mount Olympus"!
2023 - 2024
King Logan XIII and Queen Eva XIII
During our annual ball in January of 2024, the Krewe of Phoenix celebrated the glorious reign of King Logan XIII and Queen Eva XIII with a ball theme of the "Iconic 80's"!
